The village of Pommard, in which only red wines are produced, lies between Volnay and Beaune. It is known for its intensity and robust tannic structure. This blend of ‘Les Grands and Les Petits Epenots’ Premier Cru grapes is no exception. It is sufficiently robust with a lot of Pinot red fruit, including raspberry, cherry and strawberry, delivered behind a firm tannic structure. Given time, this wine opens up beautifully to reveal subtle spice and floral notes.
