Typically, the wine displays more delicacy than other Northern Rhône wines: elegant aromas of peppery dark fruits, fragrant tobacco and violets. A deep, dry palate reveals (particularly impressively after decanting) more complex notes of truffle, dried fruits and leather. Supple tannins will allow the wine to age and develop further for a while longer, but it's silky smooth now.
